A Mid Week Lenten Lunch Series

“BE” in Lent

What does it mean to “BE” in lent?

This year I would like to take this Lenten Journey with you as we contemplate Lenten Scriptures and explore the Christian perspective of BE-longing; BE-lieving; and  BE-having in order to BE-come authentic disciples of Jesus.  Together let us journey from death into life, asking what it means to BE in God’s grace.

Join the discussion Wednesday afternoons for this 5 week study, ending April 9th.

A light lunch of soup and bread will be served at 12:00 followed by friendly group conversations led by myself, Elaine Baker – Director of Christian Education and fellow member of Zion.

Palm Sunday Weekend—April 12 & 13

Maundy Thursday—April 17
Worship at 7:00 PM. This service marks the First Communion of our fourth grade students.  A potluck supper at 6:00 pm precedes worship.

Good Friday—April 18
The 7:00 PM service is Tenebrae, a dramatic service of diminishing light to commemorate our Lord’s crucifixion.
Easter Vigil—April 19
Our contemporary Saturday evening worship takes on a new dimension as we celebrate the ancient tradition of the “Easter Vigil”.

Easter Sunday—April 20
Come and worship at 6:30, 8:15 & 10:45 AM

Almighty God, our redeemer, in our weakness we have failed to be your messengers of forgiveness and hope in the world. Renew us by your Holy Spirit, that we may follow your commands and proclaim your reign of love; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
